Origin / tradition
The form
Giddha is performed by a single woman or by women in pairs. It comprises elegant, swift foot movements and captures fun and joy. Bright salwar kameez and heavy jewelry make it a spectacle to watch. The live site uses both Gidha and Giddha; the school teaches this Punjabi women’s folk form alongside Bhangra.
