Indian dance forms

Indian dance forms are broadly classified into classical dance and regional folk dances. Guiding Star Productions specializes in Kathak and also teaches folk, Bollywood, semi-classical, and fusion dance.

Classical dances were primarily meant to please Gods and were spiritual in nature. It was only later that they were viewed for entertainment. Kathak, Kathakali, Bharatanatyam, Manipuri, Odissi, and Mohiniattam are among the classical forms associated with India. In this category, Guiding Star Productions specializes in Kathak and teaches it in its truest and original form.
